A pricing rule tells TCG STATS how to calculate a price. Rules can target specific marketplaces, products or inventory groups.
Plan the rule
Decide:
- which cards the rule should cover;
- which market price or source to use;
- whether to add or subtract a percentage or fixed amount;
- the lowest price you will accept;
- whether fees should affect the result.
Create a rule
- Open Settings → Pricing.
- Select Create pricing rule.
- Give it a clear name.
- Choose the cards or listings it applies to.
- Choose the pricing source and calculation.
- Add a minimum price.
- Preview the result.
- Save the rule.
Name rules clearly
Useful names describe the target and calculation:
- Pokémon singles — Cardmarket trend
- eBay graded — market plus fees
- Bulk cards — minimum €0.25
Avoid names such as Rule 1.
Rule order matters
When several rules can match the same card, TCG STATS uses their order to decide which rule applies. Put specific rules before broad fallback rules.
Preview before applying
Test low-value, mid-value and expensive cards. Check cards with different conditions and languages. A rule that works for a €1 card may be unsuitable for a €500 card.
