Send card images from a document scanner into a TCG STATS import batch.

Auto Scan app automatically sends your scanned cards to a TCG STATS import batch that recognizes and matches your card to our database.

Use this for larger batches where phone scanning is too slow.

## What you need

- access to Auto Scan in your TCG STATS plan;
- the TCG STATS Auto Scan desktop app;
- a supported scanner, such as the Ricoh fi-8170;
- scanner software that saves each scan as a separate image;
- a fixed folder for new scans.

Use JPG, JPEG, PNG or WebP images. Keep each image below 2 MB.

## Connect the Auto Scan app

1. Open the Auto Scan app.
2. Select **Login with TCG STATS**.
3. Complete the login in your browser.
4. Allow the browser to reopen Auto Scan.
5. Choose the correct TCG STATS location.

If the connection code expires, start the login again from the Auto Scan app.

## Create a batch

1. Choose the location and trading card game.
2. Choose **Front only** or **Front and back**.
3. Add a clear batch name.
4. Select defaults such as language, condition or storage location when useful.
5. Create the batch.

With **Front and back**, scan each card in this order:

1. front of card 1;
2. back of card 1;
3. front of card 2;
4. back of card 2.

## Start watching the folder

1. Choose the same folder used by your scanner software.
2. Select **Start watching**.
3. Scan a test card.
4. Confirm that the image reaches the batch.
5. Start the full batch.

## Review the batch

Scanning creates import rows; it does not remove the need for review. Check product, variation, language and condition before confirming inventory.

> Use a new empty folder for each batch. This keeps the scan order clear and prevents old images from appearing again.
