# Add your first cards

Put a few physical cards into your TCG STATS inventory.

> Documentation index: https://tcgstats.com/docs/llms.txt

Start with two or three cards that you can easily check. This makes it easier to understand the flow before importing a large collection.

## Add a card manually

1. Open **Inventory**.
2. Select **Add inventory**.
3. Search for the card name, set name or collector number.
4. Choose the correct card and variation.
5. Select the condition and language.
6. Enter the quantity.
7. Add the purchase price if you want to track profit.
8. Save the card.

## Check the card carefully

Before saving, confirm:

- the correct trading card game;
- the correct set;
- the collector number;
- the variation, such as reverse holo or first edition;
- the language;
- the condition;
- the number of copies you physically own.

> Two cards with the same artwork can still be different products. The set, collector number and variation are the safest way to check.

## Other ways to add cards

For larger stock, use:

- [CSV import](/docs/inventory/import-csv) for an existing spreadsheet;
- [Camera scanner](/docs/inventory/camera-scanner) for phone photos;
- [Auto Scan](/docs/inventory/auto-scan) for a supported document scanner.

Continue with [Connect a marketplace](/docs/get-started/connect-marketplace).
